Mauer Art was founded in 1988, as JT and a former bandmember (Ö–dahl) was starting up a new project called Die Die Mauer Bau. The cover of the project's demo recording was designed by JT, and since then Mauer Art is behind almost every recording – official and unofficial – that JT has made.
